DAY 1st. ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / DRIVE TO TANA TORAJA
Meeting services upon arrival at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Makassar. Proceed to Tana Toraja (around 8 hours drive) passes several scenic mountain offering spectacular panoramas. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon, stopover in Bambapuang for an afternoon tea while enjoy the wonderful view of Mount Buttukabobong. After breakfast, our first destination is the ancient stone megaliths and ceremonial ground of Bori’. Next, we will visit Pallawa, a compound of granaries and traditional houses with a lot of buffalo horns in front of it. We continue to Sa’dan To’Barana, Torajan village famed for their traditional cotton weaving. After lunch at local restaurant, we will visit Marante, a traditional Torajan village with a lot of Tongkonan houses, rice barns and hanging stones graves called “Erong” by the local people. In the afternoon, we will explore the architecture of Tongkonan and wood carving at Ke’te Kesu. Back to the hotel. Dinner will be served at local restaurant.

In the morning, we visit the tomb of Londa, an old limestone cave grave. Afterwards, we will visit the cliff-side stone grave with galleries of ancestor wooden statues (Tau-Tau) at Lemo. Hereafter, we will visit the hillside graveyard of the royal family of King Sangalla’ at Suaya. Afternoon back to Rantepao, walking around the town market and then to hotel. After breakfast, we drive to Batutumonga, to enjoy the beautiful scenery of beautiful terraced rice field, mountains and valleys while experience the unique of Torajan life style. From Batutumonga, we start our soft trekking to Limbong, passing the villages, walk through the paddy field, bamboo forest and coffee plantation while experience the way of life of the local people. A “Lunch Box” is provided en route. In the afternoon, we arrive in Limbong village. Pick up by car and then back to the hotel. Dinner will be served at local restaurant.
DAY 5th. DRIVE BACK TO MAKASSAR / TRANSFER AIRPORT

Regency, well known for its silk weaving, the center of traditional Buginese
silk. On the way, we visit Tana Toa Village, the home of black-dressed people
of Kajang Tribe and learn the secret of their primitive culture. Lunch will be
served at local restaurant en route. As soon as we arrive in Sengkang, we board
the typical longboats to take us to Lake Tempe where the Bugis fishermen live
in their floating houses. Dinner and overnight stay at Pondok Eka Sengkang (simple accommodation).

unload goods from near and far away islands, and various types of fishing boat,
such as the pantorani, the lepa-lepa and the sandeq unload the day’s catch.
Next to Fort Rotterdam, the city’s most iconic landmark, an old fort built by
the first king of Gowa in 16th century.
Lunch will be served at local restaurant. After, lunch, we will visit Balla’
Lompoa, the former palace of Gowa Kingdom and then to Sultan Hasanuddin
